BUCKFASTLEIGH NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN
Around forty residents attended the public meeting held in the Town Hall on Thursday 1st May, which heard a presentation on progress to date from the Neighbourhood Planning Group, set up after the first public meeting last November, including a display of the ideas suggested at the November meeting. A copy of the report from the May consultation is now available to view on the Town Hall notice board, is available from the Town Clerk’s Office or by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
The 1st May meeting enabled members of the public to respond and come up with other ideas for consideration in the Neighbourhood Plan for our parish. There will be a further public meeting, focusing primarily upon housing, environmental and infrastructure developments in late June/early July, date to be confirmed.
We have also established a group working with young people in the parish to find out more about their views and for them to talk with older residents. A film of this will be presented to a public meeting in September, again date to be confirmed.
We now have six active sub groups working up ideas to regenerate the parish and we expect to have the full draft plan available by late September for public consultation.
We shall keep you posted, so please watch the notice boards and the Buckfastleigh Community Newsletter for further information.
Thank you for your support.
