HIRING CHARGES FOR THE TOWN HALL (Effective 1st April 2020)
The Town Hall will reopen for limited bookings on Tuesday 1st September 2020.
All measures are in place to safely reopen and we are currently only allowing one group to use the town hall at a time, so that social distancing guidelines can be met. Things will look a bit different & not all rooms will be available to hire but we look forward to welcoming you back.
We cannot accommodate bookings for parties, celebrations, singing, woodwind/brass instrument or live performance by amateurs, dancing or disco due to current restrictions.
Rule of 6
The Town Hall can still take bookings for up to 6 people. These are the exceptions that apply to the current limited bookings we can take at the Town Hall where groups can be larger than 6:
For work, or the provision of voluntary or charitable services.
Registered Childcare, Education or Training.
Supervised activities for children.
Elite sport competition & Training.
Organised sport or exercise classes (does not include informal sport or fitness activity – this must be limited to 6).
Formally organised support groups to provide mutual aid.
The Town Hall is compliant with Covid-19 secure guidance and safe capacity is based on each individual activity/sector.

A 20% discount will be applied to all bookings of 4 hours or more for Buckfastleigh/Buckfast Residents paying Council Tax to Teignbridge District Council (Proof required)
Use of the kitchen is included in bookings for the Main Hall and Room 2. The Oven (in Rm 2 Kitchen), PA System and Small Projector/Screen can be hired at a cost of £10 per booking. Cinema Equipment available to Hire.
Cancelled Bookings : Rooms booked and not used will be charged for, unless at least 24 hours prior notice is given for the cancellation.
For one off bookings in the Main Hall please contact Clair Stevens, Town Hall Administrator on 07595 935920 email@example.com to discuss. The administrator reserves the right to refuse a booking.
Deposits : Deposits are required. Speak to admin.
Restrictions On Times : License restrictions are as follows :
Monday to Thursday inclusive – 7:00pm to 12:00 midnight
Friday to Saturday inclusive – 7:00pm to 12:30 midnight
The Town Hall is licensed to serve alcohol. A Sale of Alcohol Permission form can be purchased from the Town Hall office for a fee of £21. Please allow at least 10 days for this prior to your booking. The Town Hall operates a ‘Think 25’ Policy. If you are lucky enough to look younger than 25 years old you will be asked for I.D. (Not currently available due to Covid -19 restrictions).
The Town Hall also offers the following facilities:-
WiFi in all rooms
The Stage Lights and PA or Cinema Equipment can be hired for a fee of £45 per booking. They must be operated by an experienced person.
A public address system in the Main Hall – £10.00 for parties, conferences etc
Use of a small projector and screen- £10.00 per booking.
Use of oven- £10.00 per booking
Bookings : Contact the Administrator on 07595 935920 from 17th August (Monday to Friday 9am to 1pm) for bookings and further information, or fill in the form on the right and we will get back to you. PLEASE ALLOW A MINIMUM OF 7 CLEAR WORKING DAYS FOR YOUR BOOKING. Bookings will not be taken beyond 4 weeks in advance during this period
