DESCRIPTION:A new free family friendly event organised by Dartmoor National Park and Buckfastleigh Town Council to raise awareness of how our rivers and water courses have influenced the importance of our town and how we can prepare and adapt for future flooding events. With useful information\, children’s activities and a parade by Participate Arts\, a bouncy castle\, live music\, food and a visit from our local fire engine and crew. \nThe Valiant Soldier Museum will also be open from midday to 4.00pm for a range of alcoholic refreshments including Pimms\, a raffle and a mini exhibition on the 19th century battle for clean water at the Buckfastleigh Water Day event on the Millennium Green as detailed above. \nAll welcome.
