DESCRIPTION:In the absence of the Buckfastleigh Town Christmas market this year the Council are providing a safe celebration with a difference\, for everyone to participate in\, in association with The Media Workshop and Participate Arts.  \nWe invite you to share the festive decorations to your house and garden for people to see on a Christmassy Walk of Wonder around town! This could be lights\, installed creatures and scenes etc.. and also to make an extra special effort to decorate your windows and register whatever decorations you make on the window wanderland website. \nWe see this as a lovely way to bring cheer to the community this festive season after such a challenging year. \nIn addition to your contributions there will be an exciting light projection taking place on Buckfastleigh Primary School each evening from 6pm – 8.30pm. Children at the school are making Christmassy images and animations that will be displayed over the front of the school. Access will be via a one-way system\, starting at the main front gates and will be marshalled to ensure social distancing is adhered to and that all visitors are kept safe. \nParticipate Arts proudly present an Art Activity pack as part of the window wanderland. There are limited packs including materials for you to make a festive decoration for your window available outside St.Luke’s Church from Monday 7th December.  \nIf you know someone in your neighbourhood who creates a wonderful festive decoration outside their home\, please encourage or help them to register here on the Window Wanderland website so that we can all enjoy their decorations and engage in a community event that brings us together safely this festive time! \nDon’t forget to tell all your friends and neighbours and to join in with a walk around our special trail on one of the three evenings!
