DESCRIPTION:FREE minibus and bike-trailer transport for you and your bike up onto Dartmoor National Park for a FREE guided ride. Plus\, a short talk from Richard Knott\, Dartmoor National Park ecologist\, on a wildflower meadow on the moor\, and a stop for a picnic lunch (bring a packed lunch). \nYour cycle ride will start at HOUND TOR\, one of Dartmoor’s iconic granite outcrops with nearby ruins of a medieval village. The cycle route will go via Harefoot Cross\, Hemsworthy Gate and Cold East Cross\, joining the Dartmoor Way (NCN272)\, via Waterleat\, Ashburton and return to Buckfastleigh. \nThe ride will be led at an easy pace and the route means it is all downhill from Hound Tor. \nThe BIKE BUS pick up will be:  approx. 09.45am from Victoria Woodholme Car Park\, Buckfastleigh. \nWe hope you can join us for a fun ride! \nPlaces are limited. DESCRIPTION:Please join us for another Free BIG BIKE REVIVAL event this summer – a cycle ride to three local towns\, each with their own distinct character\, and the beautiful countryside of lower Dartmoor\, with the enjoyment of travelling by bike. \nThis is a cycle ride from South Brent to Ashburton via Buckfastleigh\, return. \nPlease be sure to book a place\, as the number of places are limited. The centre has a small car park. \nThe cycle route will be mainly on-road and there are a few hills\, making the ride suitable for cyclists who are confident beginners with some experience and of reasonable fitness. \nThe distance of the ride\, if you start at and return to South Brent\, is approximately 18 miles. \nThe ride will be led by an experienced cyclist and at an easy pace for the enjoyment of all riders. \nThere will be a stop in Buckfastleigh for refreshments\, and a stop in Ashburton for picnic lunch. Bring a packed lunch!

DESCRIPTION:Free\, small group\, social cycle ride. \nFree minibus and bike-trailer transport for riders and their bikes up onto Dartmoor National Park. Plus\, a short guided talk from Dartmoor National Park Archeologist\, Andrew Crabb.\nThe cycling will start at HAYTOR\, one of Dartmoor most iconic and poplular granite outcrops. The cycle route will start at Haytor and go via Haytor Vale\, picking up the Dartmoor Way in Ilsington\, then back to Buckfastleigh. \nThe Bike Bus pick ups: \n\napprox. 09.00am from South Brent (Palstone Park)\, and\napprox. 09.45am from Buckfastleigh (Victoria Woodholme Car Park)\n\nPlaces are limited. So reserve your place now! \nThis event is subsided by support and funding from national and local organisations. If you are able to make a small contribution we would be grateful. As part of the booking process here on Eventbrite there is an option to make a donation toward the cost. \nThere will be Covid-19 precautions in place. We ask that people disinfect their hands and that you bring and wear your own mask or facecovering whilst on the Bike Bus. However should you need\, there will be some masks available at boarding. \nBring a packed lunch for a picnic lunch.
