BUCKFASTLEIGH TOWN COUNCIL MEETING

      15th December 2021 – KEY MESSAGES

1.   Defibrillator Locations – Unfortunately the Chapel Street defibrillator suffered significant damage at the weekend due to misuse.  If needed, it should be used with caution before the replacement casing has been installed. Other community defibrillators can be found at The Rangers Football Club, Duckspond Road,  Glebelands Road Telephone Kiosk and Grange Green, Buckfast Kiosk.

2.   Police Absence from Meeting – The Council was disappointed that the police did not attend the meeting.  They had been invited to discuss issues with speeding drivers in the town.

3.   Precept – We are pleased to advise that there will be no increase to the Town Council precept for the coming year in recognition of the increases to food, fuel and transport costs.

4.   Teignbridge Local Plan Review 2020-2040 – Residents are encouraged to comment on the Plan here:  https://www.teignbridge.gov.uk/planning/local-plans-and-policy/local-plan-review-2020-2040/

The deadline for commenting is 24 January 2022.

5.   Christmas Meals – 72 Christmas meals will be delivered by volunteers to those in town who have requested them.

Full minutes will be available on the website after the next Town Council Meeting
