Town Hall Hire

HIRING CHARGES FOR THE TOWN HALL (Effective 1st April 2022)

January 2022 Update
Wising you a Happy New Year!
The Trustees and Management at the Town Hall have met to review the current measures and have taken the decision to continue to keep some measures in place for the safety of all users, staff, volunteers, and wider community.
Please do your bit by:
• Limiting close contact with others.
• Letting fresh air in when meeting indoors.
• Wearing a face covering indoors and in crowded places.
• Washing your hands properly and regularly.
• Testing yourself regularly with rapid lateral flow device tests.
• Having the Covid – 19 vaccines when offered.
• Self-isolating and ranging a PCR test if you show any symptoms of coronavirus or you are told to by NHS Test and Trace.
Community Groups need to know they can safely hold their usual or a version of their usual activities and what conditions apply to reduce risk and overcome concerns people may have over engaging.
Please wear a face covering throughout the building when using the Town Hall unless you are exempt and limit social contact where possible . Please be aware of the guidance specific to your own activity/sector when booking too. Maximum capacity will remain reduced to allow for distancing in each space. Capacity in the Main Hall will remain at 40, Rooms 2 and 3 remain at a maximum of 16 per room for the time being.
Access to the Town Hall Manager’s Office and Town Clerk Office will still be via appointment or by calling the office if you are outside, one of us will pop out to let you in.
We will continue to accept bookings for indoor gatherings organised by a Business, Charity, or other formal organisation. Risk assessments are still required for all activities. These include but are not limited to the following:
• Formal Support Groups
• Education Services
• Parent and Child Groups
• Organised Children’s activities
• Library Services.
• Static and active indoor exercise/Martial Arts.
• W.I. and Senior Citizen Clubs.
• Meetings.
• Professional Choirs
We will still not be taking bookings for private parties, discos, or other crowded events at this time.
Please do get in touch for current special conditions of hire, they are in addition to our standard conditions of hire. We will do our best to see if we can accommodate you within the measures in place and guidance safely and work with you to provide the best space for your needs.
