HIRING CHARGES FOR THE TOWN HALL (Effective 1st April 2024) 

Maximum capacity for the entire building is 250.

(*) Special rates apply to registered Charities, CIC and not for profit organisations (proof required). 

A 20% discount will be applied to all bookings of 3 hours or more for Buckfastleigh/Buckfast Residents paying Council Tax to Teignbridge District Council (Proof  required)

Use of a kitchen is included in all bookings.  The Oven can be hired when using Room 2 at a cost of £10 per booking. We also have a small screen and projector that can be hired at a cost of £10. 

Cancelled Bookings : Rooms booked and not used will be charged for, unless at least 24 hours prior notice is given for the cancellation. 

For one off bookings in the Main Hall  please contact Clair Stevens, Town Hall Manager on 01364 388017 or  admin@buckfastleigh.gov.uk to discuss. The Manager reserves the right to refuse a booking.

Deposits : Deposits are required. Speak to admin.

Restrictions On Times : License restrictions are as follows :
Monday to Thursday inclusive – 7:00pm to 12:00 midnight
Friday to Saturday inclusive    – 7:00pm to 12:30 midnight

The Town Hall is licensed to serve alcohol. A Sale of Alcohol Permission form can be purchased from the Town Hall office for a fee of £21. Please allow at least 10 days for this prior to your booking. The Town Hall operates a ‘Think 25’ Policy. If you are lucky enough to look younger than 25 years old you will be asked for I.D.

The Town Hall also offers the following facilities:-

WiFi in all rooms

A public address system in the Main Hall – £10.00 for parties, conferences etc. 

Use of a small projector and screen- £10.00 per booking.

Use of oven- £10.00 per booking

Room 3 has recently been refurbished with a new coat or 2 of paint, a new ceiling and blinds
