“Following last year’s huge success this year’s 3rd annual Buckfastleigh Christmas Fair will take place in the heart of town on Wednesday 6th December.
Another fun packed evening is planned for the whole family and live street entertainment for all will be the theme. The evening will start with local school children getting us in to the early spirit of Christmas with their special blend of carols. Local musicians will brighten the streets with music for the ears, while story teller Greg Porter will captivate children with stories written for the occasion. There will also be an opportunity for children to busy themselves in the craft workshop.
By special appointment Elfic – Juggler & Jester will be joining us and is sure to have us rolling in laughter with his comic interaction and Peter Dell will join us once again to entertain us all with classic songs from old. We have also been assured that Santa and his helpers will be paying us a special visit!
Over 40 street stalls will be selling a wide range of seasonal goods, food, ideal gifts for Christmas and many local shops will stay open for late shopping. There will be a giant bouncy slide, balloons, popcorn and much, much more.
As with last year the annual ‘Carols on the Green’ will be linking arms with the Christmas Fair. Time for the start of ‘Carols on the Green’ will be announced shortly.
Raffle tickets for the ‘Cash Prize Draw’ will be on sale on the night so please dig deep to support the running of this fabulous evening.
The evening’s event will take place in Fore Street, Station Road and Elliot Plain and will run from 4.00 – 8.00pm. Road closure will be in place from 2.00pm – 9.00pm to allow stall holders to prepare their wares.
If you would like an application form to run your own stall or require any other information about the evening please drop in to see Cathy Veasey in the Brainwave Charity Shop, Fore Street, or contact Paul Roberts on 07740492842 or by email on roberts999@hotmail.com
Come and join us. We look forward to seeing you there”
