By the community, for the Community
The Orchard Millennium Green is a humble, community space located in the small, South Devon town of Buckfastleigh, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park.
The Orchard Millennium Green Trust will be hosting its Annual Town Meeting on Friday 20th February at Buckfastleigh Town Hall from 7:30pm.
The event is open to the public and will feature a formal presentation along with an open Question and Answer session.
Trustees will be reflecting on the events and activities of 2014 as well as outlining some of the ideas for the future of the Green.
In a statement, the Chair of the Trust said, “It has been a very exciting year for the Orchard Millennium Green in many respects and we are very pleased with the eclectic programme of events that we have, once again, been able to offer the community.”
On behalf of the Trustees, he also wished to express their thanks to all the organisations and individuals who contributed to the success of the Green and are looking to 2015 with optimism:
“We are hoping to stage another series of events and activities, organised by the community, for the community – including the popular ‘Tea on the Green’ – and we would be keen to hear anybody who wishes to be part of our upcoming projects.”
The Trust is also keen to encourage local organisations to come and stage their own events on the Orchard and invite anybody who may be interested in becoming a ‘Friend of the Green’ to come along to the meeting for further information., or to contact Celia Lebbon (Trustee) on 07925 325128.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the meeting.
