Step back in time to get an insight into domestic life in the 40s and 50s, with open fires in the parlour and the bedroom, a kitchen, scullery and bathroom of that era and take a torch to explore an attic from that time. Additionally, an opportunity to discover the history of Buckfastleigh and its people and a range of artefacts donated by local people, including a WW1 exhibition.

The museum includes the Valiant Soldier which was a village pub for more than two centuries. When it closed its doors in the 1960s, it remained untouched for over 30 years, the money still in the till and optics still filled – a fascinating look at a pub where time was never called.
