Council Grant – The Town Council is pleased to award the Buckfastleigh Christmas Fair committee £2,000 towards the cost of hiring the very popular Victorian Christmas carousel and £1500 towards the core costs of hosting this event.
Youth Consultation – Councillor Sue Clarke is currently undertaking a youth consultation by visiting local youth organisations. Feedback will be incorporated into a new Youth Strategy for the town.
Football Coaching – Torquay United Football Club will shortly provide some football coaching for 7 to 11 year old’s at the Buckfastleigh Football Club, funded by the Town Council. It is hoped that this opportunity will become a permanent fixture.
