You can now cast your vote for your ‘Community Champion’ in ballot boxes around the town. The nominees for the award are those that you have put forward over the last month…
There are ballot boxes around the town in the Town Hall, Buckfastleigh and Buckfast Post Offices, the CO-OP, the Seed, Huccaby’s, St Luke’s church, the library and the swimming pool. Voting will end on Monday 4th June, so be sure to get your vote in by then.
There are also 3 other categories of award:
- Long Service – working for the community for many years
- Young Volunteer – making a difference up to the age of 21
- Healthy Lives Hero – working for a healthier community
…but these will be judged by a panel of local people. The awards will handed out at the ‘Heart of Buckfastleigh’ Celebration on Saturday June 16th at the Town Hall – more here
