Volunteer gardening sessions will be held in the community garden situated behind the Town Hall on the second Sunday of every month from 2.00pm.
At the moment volunteers with skills such as carpentry and conservation work are particularly needed for fencing work, repairs to a bench and managing the pond.
Please bring your own gloves and hand tools. Supervised children in wellies are welcome.
Work will include planting and maintaining native species, and creating a haven for wild animals. Come along for pond dipping, bug hunting and muddy play. Each session will close with a bit of cooking on the fire bowl.
