- Youth Band: There is a proposal to start a community youth band for the young people of Ashburton and Buckfastleigh. This will be publicised in the coming weeks.
- Smaller Grants: Grants were awarded to the following organisations:
Twinning Association – £400
Friendship Group – £500
All Things Kids – £490
Conversation Works – £500 pending Lottery Award, then repayable.
Royal British Legion – £500
Buckfastleigh Youth Club – £500
- Youth Forum: We are pleased to report that the first meeting of the Buckfastleigh Youth Forum took place on 20th June, with all the youth groups present as well as several councillors and representatives from the police. We look forward to working together in the future to improve provision for youth in the town.
