Town Council News

Do you know that we hold a full Council meeting on the third Wednesday of every month with key messages from this meeting posted on our Facebook page and website? 

 

Although we have a dedicated public session for questions and answers we actively encourage public participation throughout the meeting and are here to listen to your concerns, complaints and ideas that are either within our remit or can be signposted to other authorities. This is also an opportunity to speak to your Ward Councillors, Stuart Rogers (County & District), John Nutley (District) and Jack Major (newly elected Vice Chair of Teignbridge DC).

 

In addition to full Council chaired by Councillor Sue Clarke we also have a Finance Committee chaired by our Deputy Mayor and Chair, Councillor Paul Georghiades and a soon to be reinvigorated Tourism, Recreation and Community Development Committee with new Chair Councillor Steven Burch. All published meetings are open to the public and are held in the Town Hall. We are a small but friendly bunch so why not come along and meet us?

 

We still have Councillor vacancies and are keen to hear from anyone who meets the criteria and is interested in making a difference in our community. Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday 18th June at 7.00pm which will include the first round of smaller grant applications for 2025/26. Everyone is welcome!
